Nokia N9 Now Being Shipped

Nokia has confirmed the availability of Nokia N9 which is the first and the last phone running on MeeGo OS from Nokia. Nokia confirmed in February that Microsoft’s Windows Phone will be its primary OS for Smartphones, So MeeGo was one of the OS Nokia decided to forsake.

Nokia N9 has no physical buttons and relies on 3.9 inch AMOLED touch screen and user interface for navigation. Applications, Events and Live applications are the three home views in the user interface of Nokia N9. The handset has overall thickness of 12.1 mm and weighs 135 grams. An 8MP camera which is capable of shooting at 720p is also included.
 
Other features include HSDPA, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. Pricing will be around £417 for version with 16GB storage and £486 for version with 64GB of storage. Nokia has decided to provide user support for MeeGo OS till 2015, so that users buying Nokia N9 are not abandoned.
